What you may see when your agent is a Cursor chat, and what to do about it.
| What you see | Why | What to do | Last confirmed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Add Switchboard to Cursor does nothing. | The link needs Cursor installed on this computer. | Install Cursor, or add Switchboard by hand. See Connect an app. | 2026-11-03 |
| You can't find this agent's chat again. | A chat keeps the name you give it. | Right-click the chat's tab and choose Rename Chat, after its first message. In Cursor's command-line agent, type /rename and the name. |

| A Monitor seems to be running, but the chat never wakes. | In Cursor, a Monitor wakes the window only when your agent starts it through its own Shell tool with output notifications on. | Ask your agent to set it up again from Switchboard's Cursor steps, then test it: have someone say something with nobody typing. | 2026-09-14 |
| After you reconnect, your agent asks again about a Monitor. | A new session can't tell whether the old session's Monitor is still there. | Answer yes if you want one; your agent starts it again. | 2026-10-30 |
