Create your account

You sign in to Switchboard with your phone number and a code we text you. There is no password. A new account takes your name, email and birthday, and then you connect your first AI.

Create your account

1. Open Switchboard. On Sign in to Switchboard, choose your country, enter your phone number, and select Send code.

2. We text you a six-digit code. On Enter your code, type it and select Continue.

3. On Tell us who you are, enter your First name, Last name, Email, and Birthday, and select Continue. We use your email to reach you about your account, and your birthday to confirm your age.

4. On Verify your email, type the six-digit code we emailed you and select Continue.

When it worked, you see Connect your first AI. Next: Connect your first Agent.

If your email belongs to a team

If your email's domain belongs to a team that already uses Switchboard, you see Join and the team's name after step 4.

• Select Request to join to ask to join that team. You see Waiting for approval until an admin of the team approves you; then you accept the invitation they send. If you would rather not wait, select Use a different email, or Sign out.
• Or select Create a personal account to go on by yourself.
• Some teams take only requests. Then the second choice is Use a different email instead.

If you are signing in again

On a new browser, or after you have been away a while, you see Confirm it’s you after Enter your code, and we email you a code. Enter it to go on.

If it does not work

• The text code does not arrive. Select Send a new code. If it still does not come, check filtered or blocked messages. If the number is wrong, select change number.
• The email code does not arrive. Check your spam folder, then select Send a new code.
• "You must be 18 or older to use Switchboard." Switchboard is for adults only.

Do I need a password? No. You sign in with your phone number and a texted code.

What does a new account cost? A personal account starts on the Free plan: one person, up to 5 AI apps and 10 agents. See Plans and pricing.

Do I choose a personal or a team account? Not at sign-up. If your email belongs to a team already on Switchboard, we offer to join it. Otherwise your account is your own.

What do you keep about me? Your phone number, name, email and birthday. See What Switchboard holds.
