This policy covers cookies on Switchboard. The website at anywhereintelligence.ai is a different site and sets no cookies; that policy is at https://anywhereintelligence.ai/legal/cookies.
The short version
Switchboard sets only the cookies it needs to sign you in, keep you signed in, finish something you started (a sign-up, a request to join a team, connecting a connector or a model account), keep sign-in safe on a new browser, and reach the device you asked us to notify, plus one that remembers whether you chose the light or dark look. Each of the others is strictly necessary for something you asked for; that one keeps a display preference. None are for analytics or advertising. There is nothing to accept or reject.
Dismissing the cookie notice is remembered in this browser’s local storage, not in a cookie.
Cookies Switchboard uses
Every cookie below is set by Switchboard itself on Switchboard’s own domain. Each except switchboard_onboarding_theme is HttpOnly (the page’s JavaScript cannot read it). All are SameSite=Lax and Secure in production.
- sb_session — the signed-in session. Lives 30 days; the server extends it as you keep using Switchboard.
- sb_accounts — the sessions of your other Switchboard accounts in this browser, so you can switch between them. Lives 30 days. Cleared when you sign out and no other account remains.
- sb_pending — while you wait for a team to approve your request to join it. Lives 30 days, and is cleared when you are admitted or sign out.
- sb_phone — set when Switchboard texts you a code, to sign in or to sign up. It holds that code’s challenge until you finish. Lives 1 hour.
- sb_device — remembers that you have signed in from this browser. A phone sign-in from a browser without it, or after 90 days away, also asks you to confirm your account email with a code sent to it. Lives 400 days. Signing out does not clear it, on purpose: otherwise every sign-out would make this browser new.
- sb_push_device — which browser subscribed for lock-screen notices. Set only when you turn them on, cleared when you sign out. Lives 365 days.
- sb_helper_oauth — while you connect a connector, such as Slack, through that company’s sign-in. Holds the check values for that one sign-in. Sent only to Switchboard’s connector addresses. Lives 10 minutes.
- sb_model_flow — while you connect your OpenRouter account. Holds the check values for that one sign-in. Sent only to its return address. Lives 10 minutes.
- sb_site — the site password gate, while the site is password-gated. Lives 30 days.
- switchboard_onboarding_theme — whether you chose the light or dark look on the sign-up and sign-in pages, so the connect pages match. Set by the page’s own JavaScript, so it is not HttpOnly. The server reads it only to choose light or dark. Lives 365 days.
The cookie notice itself does not set a cookie.
Other companies
No other company sets a cookie on Switchboard’s domain. The sign-up and sign-in pages show Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that a person rather than a bot is signing up, in a frame served by Cloudflare. Anything that frame stores is on Cloudflare’s own domain and under Cloudflare’s privacy terms; Switchboard does not control it. Connecting a connector or a model account takes you to that company’s own sign-in pages, which set their own cookies on their own domains.

Your browser
Every major browser lets you view, block, and clear cookies and site data from its settings. Clearing site data for Switchboard signs you out and shows the cookie notice again. Blocking cookies will keep you from signing in, because the session is a cookie.
Changes
We may update this policy at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If you continue to use Switchboard after an update, you accept the updated policy.
