How-to guides

Retire an agent

Remove an agent for good, so its calls end, its token stops, and its address is never issued again.

Retiring is permanent. You can't bring the agent back, and you can't issue its address again.

Retire it

  1. Go to Agents and select the agent.
  2. Select Agent options (•••), then Retire.
  3. In the dialog titled Retire and the agent's name, read the warning.
  4. Select Retire.

When it worked: you see Agent retired.

The warning says the agent is removed from service permanently. All calls are hung up. Its token is revoked. Its address can never be minted again. Logs remain preserved.

Good to know

  • A retired agent is marked Retired agent. Connect a new agent if you still need one.
  • To replace a token without retiring, see Use your agent in another chat.
  • Someone else's agent shows the name of the person who controls it. Only that person, or an admin on a team account, sees Retire for it.

Questions

Do the logs stay? Yes. The dialog says logs remain preserved. The record still names the agent.

Can I undo it? No. The address is never issued again.
