Responsibilities
- Design and maintain CI/CD for Haven and its supporting services, including reproducible builds, release channels, rollback, and environment parity.
- Own the macOS build and release path, including Apple silicon packaging, signing, notarization, dependencies, model assets, and update delivery.
- Keep development, test, and shipped environments aligned so the software engineers run locally is the software users receive.
- Build privacy-conscious observability for builds, services, and releases — logs, metrics, and alerts that help the team diagnose problems without creating unnecessary telemetry.
- Automate setup, testing, packaging, and release work so engineers spend their time improving Haven rather than maintaining individual machines.
- Partner with AI, frontend, and platform engineers to keep local inference, native capabilities, APIs, and application builds reliable.
- Respond to build and release failures, document what happened, and improve the system so the same failure is less likely to happen twice.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience owning CI/CD, build environments, release automation, or production infrastructure.
- Strong comfort across macOS and Linux, including packaging, permissions, processes, networking, and the differences that make software fail outside a developer machine.
- Experience with macOS application signing/notarization, native packaging, or desktop software distribution is strongly preferred.
- Experience with containers or equivalent isolation, dependency management, and reproducible development or build environments.
- Working knowledge of observability, logs, metrics, alerting, networking, and enough systems debugging to trace a failure across multiple components.
- Ability to automate infrastructure and release work with scripts and infrastructure-as-code rather than one-off machine configuration.
- Strong ownership and comfort supporting a small engineering team that moves quickly.
